Vibratory road rollers run on hydrostatic drive — no gearbox, no clutch, just a piston pump and motor giving stepless speed control for travel, and a second pump-and-motor pair driving the vibrating drum. Nearly every compactor on the market, from 3-tonne mini rollers to 22-tonne highway machines, uses Sauer Danfoss or Bosch Rexroth for one or both systems. PumpGrid supplies tested refurbished units for both.
A road roller's hydraulics split into two independent jobs — travel and vibration — and it's genuinely common for the same brand, or even the same pump family, to power both. Sauer Danfoss's Series 90 and Bosch Rexroth's A4VG closed-circuit piston pumps are the two names that dominate this segment worldwide, whether the roller is single-drum, double-drum, or a pneumatic-tyre model. Getting the diagnosis right — travel pump vs vibration pump — before ordering saves time and money.
WhatsApp your roller's make, model and symptom — we'll help confirm which pump before you order.
All pumps are refurbished, tested, and dispatched with a written quality report and 3-month warranty.

A closed-circuit piston pump feeds a drive motor at each drum or wheel, giving stepless forward/reverse speed control without a mechanical gearbox — the same hydrostatic principle used in mini excavators and HST tractors.
A separate pump drives the eccentric weight inside the drum at high speed, generating the vibration frequency and amplitude that does the actual compaction work. This pump sees continuous high-RPM duty and wears differently from the travel pump.
Full disassembly of piston/slipper assembly, charge pump inspection, swashplate control testing, and new shaft seals and O-rings on every unit — with a closed-loop bench test confirming charge pressure and output before dispatch.
New Sauer Danfoss or Rexroth roller pumps are special-order imports for most Indian dealers. A tested refurbished unit costs significantly less and ships from stock.
Road construction runs on tight seasonal and contractual windows. A grounded roller costs real money per day — we prioritise fast dispatch on this equipment.
We help confirm travel vs vibration pump before you order, over WhatsApp — so you're not replacing the wrong component.
Minimum 3-month warranty. Written test report with actual charge pressure and output readings included with every order.
Weak vibration with normal travel usually points to the vibration pump specifically — WhatsApp us the symptom for a quick read.
