OEM on Some, Better-Value Alternative on Others — Parker's Excavator Story
Parker PV-series pumps serve excavator buyers in two very different ways. For some machine brands — certain Grove, Sany, and XCMG excavators — Parker is the OEM hydraulic pump. For others, Parker is the smart aftermarket alternative when the original Komatsu, Kawasaki, or CAT pump is expensive, discontinued, or on a long lead time. PumpGrid supplies tested refurbished Parker excavator pumps for both scenarios, with the same 350 bar pressure verification and written test report either way.
Parker's PV140 and PV202 are axial piston variable-displacement pumps with equivalent performance specifications to the Komatsu HPV145 and Kawasaki K3V112DT — same pressure class (350 bar), similar displacement range, and compatible shaft configurations for many common excavator mounting arrangements. This makes a refurbished Parker PV140 a legitimate, well-supported replacement option for excavators where the original OEM pump is expensive to source or on an unacceptable lead time.
The key advantage of Parker in this role: genuine Parker seal kits and internal components are readily available in India through authorised Parker distributors. This means consistent refurbishment quality, faster turnaround, and better long-term parts support than some OEM pumps whose components are only available through narrow dealer channels.
Parker serves both roles in the excavator market. Here is where it makes the most sense:
Sany specifies Parker PV140 on some SY215 and SY235 variants as an alternative to Rexroth — depends on year of manufacture. Check pump nameplate.
XCMG XE215 and XE235 occasionally ship with Parker PV140 from factory — again year-dependent.
Certain Wacker Neuson and Mecalac excavators use Parker PV series as OEM hydraulic pump.
Parker PV140 fits many older Komatsu PC200 and PC210 series as an aftermarket alternative when HPV95 OEM parts are expensive or discontinued for older models.
For older Chinese excavators (pre-2010 XCMG, ZOOMLION) where original pump specs are unavailable, Parker PV series is the most commonly available alternative fit.
When the OEM K3V112DT or A4VG71 has 6+ week delivery — a Parker PV140 with matching shaft and port can be the operationally correct choice.

Whether Parker is OEM or aftermarket fit on your excavator, we verify shaft spline count, port type, and rotation direction against your machine specification before dispatch. We do not send and hope — we confirm.
Parker India maintains authorised distributor stocks of genuine PV series seal kits. We use these — not generic kits — in every refurbishment, ensuring the seal materials match Parker's specified pressure and fluid ratings.
Parker PV excavator pumps are tested at full 350 bar rated pressure with variable displacement modulation verified across the range. Your test report documents both static peak pressure and dynamic variable response.
All Parker excavator pumps carry a minimum 3-month warranty. For aftermarket applications replacing OEM pumps, we confirm compatibility in writing before dispatch — if there is any uncertainty about fit, we tell you before you commit.
Act on these early — delayed replacement risks secondary damage to cylinders, motors, and valves.
