What is the Chelsea PTO and does PumpGrid supply it?
The Parker Chelsea is a Power Take-Off (PTO) unit that mounts to the truck gearbox's PTO aperture and transmits engine power to a hydraulic pump. We supply the hydraulic pump component. The PTO coupling itself is a mechanical part — if that is also failing, let us know and we can advise on sourcing. In most cases the pump is the part that wears, not the PTO coupling.
My Tata truck tipper uses a Parker PGP — is it the 315 or 330 variant?
The variant depends on the tipper body size and the hydraulic system specification of your specific truck. The PGP315 is more common on 10-14 cubic metre bodies; the PGP330 and PGP350 on larger bodies. Check the pump body for the Parker part number — it will be stamped or on a label. Can the same Parker pump fit a Tata truck and an Ashok Leyland?
